Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Western Regional Field Application Engineer (F.A.E.) Director to lead and expand our technical presence across the western United States. This leadership role blends hands-on technical expertise with strategic oversight and team management to deliver exceptional telematics solutions and support to our clients.
As an F.A.E. Director, you will be instrumental in driving customer success by serving as a trusted technical advisor, collaborating closely with sales, engineering, and product teams to customize SVR Tracking’s solutions according to client needs across multiple industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage the Western regional F.A.E. team ensuring high-performance and technical excellence.
- Serve as the primary technical liaison for key accounts and partners in the western region, delivering tailored telematics solutions that meet specific industry requirements.
- Collaborate with sales and product management teams to identify customer needs and provide feedback for product enhancements.
- Conduct product demonstrations, technical training, and onsite/remote support for clients and internal teams.
- Develop strong relationships with vehicle dealers, lenders, specialty equipment operators, and insurance providers to drive adoption of SVR’s solutions.
- Support troubleshooting, integration, and deployment efforts to ensure seamless implementation and ongoing client satisfaction.
- Stay current with emerging IoT and telematics technologies, industry trends, and customer challenges to proactively address market demands.
- Represent SVR Tracking at trade shows, conferences, and industry events in the region.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
- 7+ years of experience in field application engineering, technical sales engineering, or a similar role within the telematics, IoT, automotive, or related industries.
- Proven leadership experience managing technical teams and driving regional growth.
- Strong understanding of telematics hardware, software integration, GPS tracking systems, and IoT technologies.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in clear terms.
- Ability to travel regionally to customer sites and industry events as required.
- Self-motivated with a customer-centric mindset and a passion for delivering superior service and support.
- Experience with OEMs, vehicle dealers, and financing companies is a plus.
